Dog Days...

I have a puppy! Oh it's so exciting! His name is Renji ( Bleach inspired) and he is a wonderful little mutt. It was fairly warm out today and not actively raining so I took him outside for a while

Here he is, my precious puppy:)
It was another one of those days where I dressed up nice just to have something to do, and I wore a red and white floral sundress with a vintage pendant necklace, a jeweled skull ring (that reminds me of McQueen) and I put my hair up in a messy, somewhat romantic side-chignon.

With my Renji:)

So the puppy has pretty much been my weekend, but I love him:) That's all for now lovelies!

Outfit 911

I recently read the Marie Claire Outfit 911 by Joyce Corrigan, and it is fabulous! It addresses just about every fashion situation imaginable and what you should (and should not) wear. From cocktail parties to job interviews to a weekend in the country this book has the answers to every fashion conundrum, and includes interviews with renowned fashion gurus like Donna Karan, Vera Wang, Tim Gunn, and most importantly Sarah Burton, McQueen's long time best friend and now the Creative Director for the McQueen fashion house. This is a must read, very helpful if you're ever in doubt of what to wear!

Lovely book cover:)

The one, the only, Sarah Burton!
So that's all for now! Farewell duckies!

Dull, dull weekends...

I've been lazy and haven't posted til now, oops... There's never anything to do here so a lot of the time I end up dressing like I have somewhere exciting to be just to keep myself from going crazy, and Saturday was one of those times. The color of the overcast sky was absolutely lovely so it was a great time to take pictures, and I wore a vintage tea-length short sleeved belted dress with my favourite orange strappy wedges and pearls.

These shoes are amazing but were NOT made for walking around outside!

As another means of entertaining myself I styled my hair in 1940s waves and did my makeup in a more 30s style (think Marlene Dietrich). More on my reecent vintage makeup obsession later, that's all for now darlings!

Like Wearing Cotton Candy...

With all the bad news being received lately, like Bleach having been cancelled and the release date for Bioshock-Infinite being pushed back to October, I've been in desperate need of a cheerful pick-me-up, and Louis Vuitton's new spring collection is just the thing to do so. Every piece is in the most lovely modern pastels and decked out in glorious lace. The whimsical carousel used in the show just made it even more fantastic, and I am absolutely in love with this line!

www.elle.com This one is so 50s, I adore it!

I love everything in this collection and that monogram parasol is definitely on my fashion lust list...This line is exactly what you would want in a spring collection: fresh, feminine, and so sweet it's like ice cream sherbert:) So chin up dearies! Let this keep your minds off the bad news! More later!

Easter!

Happy Easter darlings! It isn't a very exciting holiday, but it's a nice little time for bunnies, candy, and the lovely pastel colors that have been used recently by Louis Vuitton and Dolce and Gabbana. I was in a pastel kind of mood today so here I am in a pretty blush colored bowtie top by Jason Wu, olive green pleated shorts, my favourite Burberry ring, and shiny silver oxford flats.

Like I said, not a very exciting holiday...

Hope you all had a lovely Easter!

Just Beginning...

So this is my first blog post. Hooray! I feel I should maybe explain the title a bit...no this is not fashion for birds...the name of my favourite song is Boats&Birds by Gregory and the Hawk, and seeing as this is a fashion blog I substituted "boats" with "boots" because I'm quite fond of boots, any shoes really. I have decided to do a Sea of Shoes-esque blog and post pictures of the many fabulous outfits I have. So here are some pictures from the other day, in a metallic peach dress with a see-through teal lace dress over it and my gold and pearl necklaces.

Playing with Friday, one of the freeloader cats that lives in my backyard:)

So there it is, my first blog post! There shall be more later!
